Sage 200

Has anyone gone live with Sage 200 yet?

We are considering the upgrade from 3.5 as we could use the Project Accounting.

Im worried like with other past products with Sage that we will find bugs after go live and cause a nightmare in the business.

Hi Ben

We are in the process of taking a number of sites live from 2.2 and 3.5 - our experiences of problems have been around data conversions - that said there are workarounds which we are using.

In theory (ha ha) - the sage 200 is built on the 3.5 release - so should be as stable as your current 3.5 system - during our initital workshop/training phases with a 9 sites has proved stable/reliable.

Inevitably there will be patches sooner or later - patch 1 came out within weeks of launch due to speed issues - and with the next release of sage200 due in the next month.

If you have any direct concerns feel free to email me them and i'll see if i can relate them to my experiences.

thanks

mark

Thanks mark for your advise.
I'll let everyone know how I get on if I do update to Sage 200!
