To improve efficiency in warehouse picking a large number of items have been defined as partially serialised so that the pickers can select any item and record the serial during despatch.

However if the warehouse forget to "PICK CONFIRM" and simply "DESPATCH CONFIRM" - then items can be despatched without recording their serial numbers.

My understanding of the enhanced serialised numbers project (DA0321) is that during despatch confirmation the line by line (F7 option) is disabled

- This seems pointless if the user can simply select "F6 - DESPATCH ALL" - thus despatching items without entering their serial numbers.

Has anybody got an idea how we can ensure that it become mandatory for the warehouse to enter serial number during the despatch process.

You can edit the form in forms editor and change the Serial to a mandatory field

Not too sure which form to edit - I need to stop the warehouse from "Despatch Confirm" prior to "Pick Confirm" to enforce the entry of the serial number.

From looking at the forms I cannot see anything in Desp Confirm that may help.

Any further thoughts?
