Works orders and recipes

Postby norman » Tue May 01, 2007 11:55 am

Im looking at setting up works orders but would like the recipe printed on the works order.

Is this possible? if so how do I go about doing this.

I have noticed that you can setup d lines but I want this at the bottom of the page

Thanks

Hi Norman,

not quite sure what you mean by recipe, if you mean the materials on the BOM then this should be printed on the default wo print from sage anyway. If you want to change the layout you can use the forms designer or paperless if you have that.

Hi Steve

What I mean by recipe is the actual recipe of our products
We are in the food industry and whilst we have the raw ingredients in the bom I need to tell the chef at what temperature to cook the product and when to add the raw ingredients

I have looked at adding the lines to the form but I cannot see how to dynamically change this for each recipe.

I don't want to use paperless to do this as I want the end user to have access to amend this at any time

Thanks for your help

Norman

If you have paperless then this is quite easy

In the BOM create d lines comments which will instruct the chef what to do.

In paperless you will have to create a sub report which will only show the d lines in the works order and suppress the d lines oon the main raw ingredient list.

If you dont have paperless then you will have to create a report using a third party reporting tool like reporting services / crystal reports. This will have to be printed out side of Sage

I can't think of a tidy built in Sage way..

Any problems let me know
